The UST Dance Team takes 1st place at UDA Camp!
The St. Thomas Dance Team attended UDA camp at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from August 5-8, 2010 and took home 1st place in the Open Dance Division and 1st place in the Open Fight Song Division. It is the largest collegiate dance team and cheerleading camp in the United States, attended by over 1,000 dancers, cheerleaders and mascots from around the US and Puerto Rico.
UST also came home with awards for their individual evaluations, earning a Superior Trophy, and recognition for Most Collegiate team in their division.

The Tommie Dance Team wins their third national title!
UST competed in the jazz and hip hop categories at the 2010 UDA National College Cheerleading and Dance Team Championships in Orlando, Florida the weekend of January 15-18th. The competition was held at the Wide World of Sports in Walt Disney World. The Tommies placed 1st in the open jazz division and 2nd place in the open hip hop division. This marks the program's third national jazz title, and hip hop runner-up for the sixth year in a row.

The purpose of the University of St. Thomas Dance Team is to promote school spirit, provide timeout and halftime entertainment at athletic events, and to represent the school and community at all dance team appearances and competitions both regionally and nationally.
The mission is to provide dancers with a successful and meaningful experience in a positive and healthy environment. Team members work towards maintaining high academic achievement, increasing their dance ability, practicing positive sportsmanship, learning effective time management, and forming strong friendships. The success of this team is due to a strong commitment from the dancers and the coach. The dancers will always exhibit impeccable sportsmanship and positive attitudes toward team members, competitors, and the University.
