The purpose of the University of St. Thomas Dance Team is to promote school spirit, provide timeout and halftime entertainment at athletic events, and to represent the school and community at all dance team appearances and competitions both regionally and nationally.
The mission is to provide dancers with a successful and meaningful experience in a positive and healthy environment. Team members work towards maintaining high academic achievement, increasing their dance ability, practicing positive sportsmanship, learning effective time management, and forming strong friendships. The success of this team is due to a strong commitment from the dancers and the coach. The dancers will always exhibit impeccable sportsmanship and positive attitudes toward team members, competitors, and the University.
Inspired by Catholic intellectual tradition, the University of St. Thomas educates students to be morally responsible leaders who think critically, act wisely and work skillfully to advance the common good.
At the University of St. Thomas, we believe in hard work, human dignity and the transformative power of purple. We stand up for faith, hope and the power of individuals, working together, to achieve uncommon feats. And every day, we commit ourselves to being agents of change: to thinking critically, acting wisely and working skillfully, all for the common good.
